The Relationship Spectrum (Originally Published 3/7/2023)
The better we know the truth about who we are, what we like, the depth of our being, the healthier all of our relationships become. In truth, who we are, the human/material growth we were born to develop, attracts every relationship we have on one level or another. Since the purpose of every experience on Earth is to bring light (balance) to the planet, all relationships are the Universe’s way of offering everyone light making possibilities. One could even say that relation

Paradise or Anti-Paradise (Originally Published 2/21/2023)
Most everyone on some level of consciousness is seeking Paradise. In the dictionary, Paradise is described as heaven (whatever THAT is); an ideal place or state of mind; a place or condition of great happiness where everything is exactly as you would like it to be. Ha! Really? Seriously? I recently had a mental bout with the concept of Paradise. We live in the Florida Keys in the winter. The word Paradise is quite loosely used in the Keys. The weather is almost always tempe

He Who is First, Shall Be. . .
…Last. I just read a poem by Rumi, a 13 th century philosopher, called The Last Goat, that finally explained this very popular Biblical verse (Matthew 20:16). So often when we seem to end up last at the “back of the herd” whether in a race, some sort of accomplishment like school or in the attainment of material or spirit-based success, there is a tendency to feel like a failure or in my terms. . . a cheap suitcase. Here's Rumi’s philosophic, poetic, 13 th century mess

Algorithms Made Simple (Originally Published 12/15/2022)
Elon Musk’s Twitter purchase, if nothing else, has brought to light the concept of Algorithms. If you’re in the social media business knowledge of the “algorithms” of your target audience are a must for successful connections to the mindset of the purchasing public. The word algorithms is new age but the concept behind the word is as old as the hills. Basically defined an algorithm is the result of specific date collection in the calculation of possible results. On the human

Battlegrounds: The Next Generation (Originally Published 12/16/2022)
It's clear that battlegrounds are being established all over the world. Oh, the new age battlegrounds won't look like Antietam or Gettysburg, but the results --- loss of vibrant life – will still be the same. Battlegrounds rise up when a deep polarization exists between 2 different factions. There won't be signs that point to a place where battles will take place, but when a famous retired talk show celebrity publicly makes an endorsement for a candidate, she's never met to s

When Humans Take Over God's Role (Originally Published 11/16/2022)
I was researching the time period of the Middle Ages (500-1500) for another blog when I came across a time period smack dab in the Middle Ages known as The Medieval Warm Period (MWP), also known as the Medieval Climate Optimum. Seriously? Climate issues in the year 1000? The MWP (950-1250), as historical researchers have proven, experienced a noticeably warmer climate in many parts of the world, followed by a decline of temperature levels between 1500 and 1700, the coldest

What is Life? (Originally Published 12/7/2022)
On my way to order some goodies for a party at the local pastry shop across the street from my office, a twenty-five-ish year-old man aggressively approached me with the question, “Could I talk to you about abortion?” Seriously? First of all, I often give thanks that I never had to visit that issue in my life. You might say I am in the middle of the spectrum on the subject of abortion. I pride myself on removing spiders and wasps from inside my house instead of sw

Trigger Happy (Originally Published 11/14/2022)
For most of us, there is at least one or two experiences or encounters from the past that can, every now and then, pull us into those shadow-self emotions that have the power to cripple our present-day activities. For me a statement my mother once said to me, “You are just average” when I was about 15 recently reared its ugly head and my emotions trigged back fifty years. For me, when in the process of writing books and blogs I sometimes hear those unkind but prophetically

The Yellow Brick Road (Originally Published 11/10/2022)
Recently I likened life in general to the life journey of Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz’s yellow brick road journey. Each brick in the road being a life experience that must be met before the next step in life can be taken. I don’t know about you, but I could watch L. Frank Baum’s, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (original title of book published in 1939) movie anytime. I’m sure I’ve seen it at least 25 times. Dorothy’s journey led her to have a heart, learn self-confidence and di

Living In Truth (Originally Published 12/6/2022)
In one of my mentoring sessions, I was asked “what does it mean to stand in your truth?” Standing in one’s truth is the core premise of my conscious change coaching. We are currently experiencing the mis information segment of the Information Age spectrum that the planet has been morphing into since the early 1960’s. The sixties ushered in a shift of many social norms; civil rights, the women’s liberation movement (a civil right as well), sexuality (the birth control pill and

Fifty One Shades of Grey (Originally Published 10/12/2022)
For some odd reason, I happened to notice that there were an inordinate amount of gray, recently built cars on the road. From big expensive cars to small economy cars, dull gray everywhere. I noticed this a few months after I redid the furniture of our living room from a vibrant eggplant and tan to gray, gray and gray. Color is a powerful energetic language that has more power over the human psyche than most people care to admit. For me, the recognition of a gray

Aging With Grace Into New Age (Originally Published 11/8/2022)
Lately, visions of old boyfriends, experiences and challenges dancing in my head have brought to mind the concept of forgiveness. I find myself mentally visiting past associates, college friends, and even elementary and high school teachers, all of whom impact who we became and pondering my feelings and thoughts about them in an effort to become aware of any lingering feelings I may have that need “cleaning out”. The past has a way of catching up to us, and I'm not talking

A 5G Public Announcement (Originally Published 10/3/2022)
It’s amazing to me how God, Creator Source, the Universe, you decide, arranges everything in perfect order. For example, without 5g technology, it is doubtful that schools could have taught classes remotely or companies could have stayed afloat with work-from-home employees during Covid. 5g technology, the descendant of 2, 3 and 4g technology delivers data one hundred times faster than 4g technology. Holographic and Artificial Intelligence are just a few of the new sciences t

Spiritual Elements (Originally Published 9/30/2022)
No! I’m not referring to elements such as calcium or magnesium. I’m writing about elements of the spirit type. You know, those “elements” that help one evolve, grow, and become stronger in the ways of the spirit. Not medicine or machines but those elements instilled at birth to further not only the journey of the personal spirit but the collective human spirit as well. Desire for living with a transformed human heart is every human spirit’s innate goal. Some of us liste

Personal Weaknesses (Originally Published 8/9/2022)
I remember a TV program called Kung Fu with David Carradine. David played Kwai Chang Caine, a Shaolin monk who traveled America’s “old west” between 1871-1875, armed with his spiritual training and martial art skills while looking for his long-lost half-brother. The program was designed around flashbacks of Caine’s upbringing in a Shaolin Monastery after he became orphaned. Caine was always challenged between the spiritual wisdom of his monastic upbringing and the human urges

Results Oriented? Think Again. (Originally Published 10/7/2022)
The industrialized world in which we live is definitely results oriented. Thankfully. Otherwise, who knows if there would be food on the table, lights to see by and transportation to get places. Farmers, electricians, and auto workers must be results oriented or the world would be in chaos. Always chasing results however can often negate one’s innate desire to live in now moments. Let’s face it, if the goal is always to accomplish, accomplish, accomplish when is

Taken Down by Olive Pit (Originally Published 11/17/2022)
It’s still hard for me to wrap my arms around the fact that every little detail I experience in my life is divinely designed to lead me toward developing and living a more light-filled existence for myself; one that is driven by faith and not fear. Recently it was an olive pit that drove that point home. For some odd reason, I recently swallowed a rather large olive pit. No, let me correct that. It felt like there was a “suction” pull all the way from my stomach t

The Truth About Minerals (Originally Published 8/19/2022)
As most of my readers know, my personal, professional mission statement is to “write books that help others yield to the presence of God”. I’m sure that means different things to different people. When understanding the history of minerals however, there could be no clearer meaning of a power greater than ourselves that was/is responsible for the calcium that knits broken bones, the oxygen that fuels life or the magnesium that inspires the cognitive mind of us all.

Hymns of Praise (Originally Published 9/26/2022)
About a month ago, my husband and I went to some podunk church in the bowels of Detroit (membership of about 30) to hear Pastor James, a visiting minister, and one of our dearest friends, preach. Dexter James, around sixty-ish, just recently had his second leg surgically removed from the knee down due to his battle with diabetes. The Reverend James is an amazing man. He operates a shelter for wayward men. James’ home helps men committed to a better life, find work as well as

Ingredients (Originally Published 11/7/2022)
Craving a sea bass dinner, I searched the web for a recipe to prepare the sea bass I recently purchased. The easiest recipe called for Herbs de Provence’, an all-purpose seasoning that originated in the Provence region of France. I have two giant shelves in my kitchen cupboards dedicated just to spices: ingredients necessary for the production of a delicious meal. I was amazed to find Herbs de Provence’ in the back corner of the second shelf. Viola! The sea bass was fabulous.
