Disability Into Possibility (Originally Published 2/18/2022)
Can you imagine a disability being a blessed event? Probably not. You may change your mind after you know more about Winter the dolphin. Winter, the subject of a book and a movie was a bottlenose dolphin found entangled in the ropes of a crab trap by a divinely driven fisherman in 2005. Estimated at just two months old when found, the crab trap ropes had cut off the circulation to Winter’s tail. The dolphin’s tail eventually rotted and fell off. After

Find Magic In The Needs of Others (Originally Published 2/11/2022)
Is it one’s job to see to the needs of others? That question has been heavy on my mind as I watch the huge influx of migrants penetrate our borders. Like most of you reading this blog, I am for legal migration. However, who am I to question God’s plan? If something is happening, it most certainly is God’s plan. Frankly, I’ve been looking for three employees for over a year now. I believe if someone has trekked thousands of miles leaving everything they know behind

Message of the Moth (Originally Published 2/4/2022)
If you are a regular to my blog site most likely you are aware of what a totem is. For you newbies, a totem is an animal, bird, reptile or insect that provides a message to one’s spirit designed to help or transform one into beings of light – the true human purpose for existence. For most of us there are usually 2 or 3 totems that consistently appear. As we evolve, totems can also change to provide new or deeper insight into oneself and the situations one faces. T

Enlightenment Through Experience
Think that little spat you just had with a spouse, friend or driver of another car was merely accidental? Think again! Every single event one experiences, no matter how grand or insignificant, has personal enlightenment as its driver. If that is the case, and enlightenment of some sort is beckoning or nipping at one's heels at every turn, how can one use a minor spat (some hard heads require major spats) to move the enlightenment "light meter" up and over a notch

The Old Must Go First (Originally Published 12/15/2021)
One of my favorite parables in the Bible is one Jesus uses to urge his readers and followers to release the old in preparation for the new. Known as the parable of the wineskins, Jesus made it clear that one must “prepare” for the new. In biblical times, wine was fermented in a leather pouch. Pouches used for wine fermentation stretched out as the wine expanded making the wine pouch unusable for future fermentation. In fact, to drive the point home about not reusi

What Man Means for Evil... God Uses for Good (Originally Published 10/15/2021)
Whenever I walk along a beach, I bring a small plastic bag to collect the garbage that seems to accumulate at the end of rolling ocean waves. Collecting trash helps me feel like I’m karmically balancing a time in my younger days where I was unconscious and ignorant in respecting the beauty and abundance of our planet. On one beach walk I came across a high-top tennis shoe that had become a sanctuary for a family of mini-clams. Seeing that garbage shoe filled with life reminde

What's In Your Intention Bank?(Originally Published 10/8/2021)
Even I am sometimes flabbergasted by the amazing power of intention. I’m wondering why the unlimited force of intention isn’t more widely observed and utilized. Or is it? The power behind intentions is non-discriminatory. That is, “intention force” does not decide whether an intention is good or bad. Intentions filled with light produce in the same manner as shadow-filled intentions. It is the human mind behind an intention that fuels an intention’s outcome. The “force” does

Judge Not Lest (Originally Published 9/29/2021)
I’m going to blame the planets. Yes, that must be the reason that wherever I looked last week whether it was the news, my team players, my son or my husband that criticism of EVERYTHING was the main banter of the moment. For some odd reason, I’m on high alert when I hear people judging others in a critical sort of way. It feels like I want to shake them and ask them, “don’t you know what you are criticizing in others you are actually doing yourself?” My son judged his free me

Journaling Ecstasy (Originally Published 9/17/2021)
Almost without fail if you ask someone if they journal the response is “not in a long time” or “I have a journal I just haven’t started journaling yet.” Most people think of a journal as a record of events of a personal nature chronicling vacations, a love affair, personal feelings, etc. There is great resistance in taking the time to journal but the rewards can be well worth it. People journal in a myriad of ways they don’t consider journaling. My favorite is the checkbook –

The Pendulum is Swinging (Originally Published 7/23/2021)
Earth is a planet of good & evil. Period. Everything humans experience is a cycle – an experience that has a start and finish. Examples: nine months of pregnancy to produce another human being; the one hundred year flood; the lunar cycle of 28 days and so on. Likewise, the pendulum also swings between good and evil, rich and poor, smart or stupid, etcetera. Currently the pendulum is swinging towards changes on Earth in a variety of different directions: · Religion ·

Fall Equinox (Originally Published 9/1/2021)
Most of us will barely notice the arrival of the fall equinox this year or any other year for that matter. Most likely you did not take notice of the spring equinox (March 21, 2021). Equinox is Latin for “equal night.” In the true polar fashion of planet Earth, there are two days each year where there are exactly twelve hours of daylight and twelve hours of darkness: the spring and fall equinoxes. Think of them as two perfectly light balanced days. September 22, 2021 mark

When Racism Takes Hold (Originally Published 9/9/2021)
Everyone’s racist in some sort of fashion. Racism is defined by Wikipedia as the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits . . . and further be divided based on different levels of superiority of one race over another. Racism may also mean prejudice, discrimination or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity . I don’t know about you but I only eat at Italian restaurants owned by Italians. Owners

Equity (Originally Published 8/6/2021)
I’ll admit it. I’m really confused. I keep hearing racial equity, financial equity, and global equity. I’ve been in the real estate business over 40 years. To me equity is something that happens over time as a result of specific efforts put forth. Let me explain. I am in the process of selling a rental house on Anita I’ve owned since 2004. I paid $109,000 for it. Between 2004 and 2018, we installed a new roof, new windows, granite counter tops and had the wood floors

Treating Chaos (Originally Published 7/16/2021)
Every now and then I need to recall one of my favorite affirmations when utter chaos, disappointment or fear seems to rear its ugly head along my life path. I have several that are my “go to” affirmations when I am threatened with loss (on any level) or fear has gripped me unaware: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. – and – “God’s got this.” You may recognize the “I shall not want” line from the Twenty-Third Psalm. A Psalm is said to be lyrics written to help one yi

Sabbath (Originally Published 7/2/2021)
For many years I have subscribed to the biblical notion to honor Sunday as the Sabbath. One of the Sabbath‘s definitions is “abstinence from work.” In the early days of my real estate career, I found myself working seven days a week. As a young mother and wife, I never felt like I was able to fully see to the needs of everyone else, not to mention find the time to meet my own needs. When I made the commitment to dedicate my Sundays to not work early on in my career, I notice

Intention (Originally Published 6/9/2021)
Intention is the product of the mental state of mind that says “I will!” Intentions, when accompanied by an emotional inner strength or belief about oneself, (this can be a light or shadow belief, the universe does not discriminate) ignites a Universal Source intelligence that starts the creation process, including the resources, people and ideas necessary so that the intention will eventually materialize. Don’t believe me? Your life is nothing but a collection of intentions

Permission Granted (Originally Published 6/29/2021)
When I was growing up permission was needed to do just about anything. I’m wondering if 20 years of constantly needing permission formulated an innate pattern that holds me back from my evolving journey? Am I still seeking permission or approval to think on my own? Growing up, permission was rarely granted to me for even the simplest of things. Even though all the other girls in my gym class were wearing bras, my mother would not let me wear one. I still can feel the tra

Nature Provides Messaging... Are You Listening? (Originally Published 3/9/2021)
I had diligently prepared for five months for a seminar I was producing and speaking about converting your IRA into self-directed real estate investments. The big day had finally arrived, and I went home to change my clothes and pick up my husband who had agreed to attend. When I pulled in the driveway, I was upset to see my husband cutting the grass on his lawn tractor. Clearly, he was not ready to go. When I confronted him, he informed me he wasn't coming. I was shocked,

Light Show (Originally Published 3/2/2021)
Never has there been a time in history where man has been offered an opportunity to reach his highest potential – his/her Soul-self: a time to actually put into practice the chance to be purely governed by soul messaging – to be the light of the world. Time to self-test yourself: In these days of anarchy, virus, deceitfulness, and economic strain, what are you doing to be a light being in the midst of it? Are you channeling in shards of light or shadows of gray with you
