Writer's Block (Originally Published 5/21/2019)

I often get asked about how I work through writer’s block.  I have one simple response:  There is no such thing as writer’s block!!!


I believe every writer (painter, architect, photographer, etc.) is sparked by some kind of a divine idea which leads to a Divine plan.  When I go into my writing studio, 9 times out of 10 I have a plan on what I would like to accomplish that day.  Rarely do I ever get to my intended task.


The most recent example of these was when “I decided” that I was going to work on my Energy chapter for the new, yet unnamed crystal book.  I pulled out all my notes and journals on the subject, pen in hand and within the first 60 seconds, my mind received a question about planetary influence that sparked research into that very subject.  Nine hours later, I hadn’t written one word on energy but was full of information on another chapter I’ll write someday – Planetary Influence.


Here’s the bottom line about writer’s block.  When a writer inserts their willfulness into the creative process of writing, “they” create a “block” into their divine guidance process.  All artists must remember that they are artists because they have a channeling archetype.  Bach channeled his music.  Picasso channeled his paint.  Do what the universe has guided you to do as it relates to your craft instead of “your” will and you will never experience a block.  As long as you have intention and discipline, the universe will work with you to get your beauty from universal minds to individual consciousness.
