Premature Death

I’m starting to learn about how the body ages, as I’ll be hitting three-quarters of a century in a few months. Probably a doctor in another lifetime, and having a moon in Aquarius in House 2, contributes to my incessant research of how the human body works.

First of all, amazing is the only word that comes to mind when questing for an adjective to describe the contents of the bag of bones we call our body. The human body comes fully equipped to survive, outwit and outlast disease and eventually death. When one knows that DNA only accounts for 4-6% of all disease (childhood cancer comes to mind), that means that between 94-96% of human disease is a result of human behaviors, such as:

Thoughts (ideologies, beliefs)

Emotions (love/anger spectrum)

Actions (the result of the 2 above)

What’s my point? Take care of your body; show it some respect by knowing what foods it needs, exercise, and continue to know that the beautiful bag of bones that houses the magnificent internal engines that keep the body going can be healthy until death do you part with conscious effort.

Medicine is a huge shift. Don’t be left behind. Research your symptoms, keep a log of what you eat and note when symptoms appear. Work towards emotional, mental and spiritual health. All three must be balanced, or at least be working on balance, for maximum physical health and efficiency. Aging is for the aged. Don’t be a victim of premature aging.
