Most of us will barely notice the arrival of the fall equinox this year or any other year for that matter.  Most likely you did not take notice of the spring equinox (March 21, 2021).  Equinox is Latin for “equal night.”  In the true polar fashion of planet Earth, there are two days each year where there are exactly twelve hours of daylight and twelve hours of darkness: the spring and fall equinoxes.  Think of them as two perfectly light balanced days. Everyone’s racist in some sort of fashion.  Racism is defined by Wikipedia as the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits .   .   .   and further be divided based on different levels of superiority of one race over another.  Racism may also mean prejudice, discrimination or antagonism directed against other people because they are of a different race or ethnicity . Neighbor John’s mom began her descent into ill health and frailty three months ago.  Unable to walk anymore but still with a very sound mind caused Irene to believe that life was over as she knew it.  After all, at 98 years of age what could you expect? John, a devoted son, finally acquiesced to Mom’s pleas to NOT put her into a nursing home even though she needed attention 24/7.  So, bachelor of 33 years John moved Mom into his spare bedroom and hired around the clock help.
