A Yellow Deep Dive

In the last week, I noticed I was buying a lot of yellow things. First, I purchased two yellow cactus plants to replace an agave that died a natural death after a stupendous blooming episode (the blooms were yellow) that lasted over four months. Some agave plants—about 50%—survive the process. Mine did not. There's definitely a blog in there somewhere, but this blog is about yellow and by osmosis, the third chakra.
Next, I noticed that I bought a pink and yellow dress. The yellow was only about 20% of the design, but my fashion sense screamed yellow shrug. I then visited an online retailer and bought not one but two yellow shrugs in varying styles.
Lastly, I ordered decorative pillowcases to replace some icky old cases I tried "dyeing" orange five years ago that turned out peach-colored, along with a pair of my husband's rogue tightey-whiteys which must have been seeking a change with a more vibrant color. I'm sure the drawers were as disappointed as I was with the "peachy" tone result of my first and last dyeing experience. The new pillow case color you ask? Mostly yellow with hints of gray.
Okay! It just dawned on me ten minutes ago that yellow is screaming at me, "Listen up, Catherine! Soul is informing!" So, with paper and pen while on our little fishing boat, which my husband is captaining on this most glorious of days, you and I are going to deep-dive into yellow and Chakra 3.
To start, chakras are electrical junction boxes that receive, process, store and express all vibrational and electromagnetic energy that one is exposed to on Earth. The flow of the seven main chakras (there are many more minor chakras) runs concurrently along the spinal column, which handles all the electrical and magnetic charges the brain receives and sends directions to the body to do this and that. The electromagnetic energy from planets, foods, other people, minerals and elements is read by the chakras. Each of the seven main chakras is assigned different aspects of human living and oversees those aspects along a spectrum for each issue.
Chakra 3 is considered the solar plexus chakra and vibrates OUT in the frequency of yellow. Solar = sun, plexus = a network of vessels or nerves. Chakra 3 takes in all energy – words of others, advertising, educational data, cultural teachings, visual definitions, and emotional responses by virtue of one's own human and spiritual DNA and mixes it all up like a salad, leaving the "ingredients" of the salad bowl to fend for itself in the thoughts, words and actions we have to discern, so to speak; truth or falsity.
Along with being charged with overseeing a life purpose, for example, Chakra 1 = survival, Chakra 2 = life lessons, Chakra 4 = love and so forth, each chakra also oversees a specific physical body function. Chakra 3 oversees the digestive/endocrine system.
Chakras get blocked with untruthful discernment, acting in untruth and ignoring the lesson the chakra is urging at the moment – mostly subconsciously – to learn. Forgiveness, release and positive expression are the spiritual fruits attached to Chakra 3. When blocked, (chakral energy is an electrical flow while human's spinal energy is a magnetic liquid flow), Chakra 3 produces symptoms of poor digestion and endocrine (hormones) issues such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, fatigue and mood changes, to name a few.
Chakra 3 is associated with the color yellow. Cheerful yellow sends messages of illumination throughout the body that can strengthen mental and emotional resolve. The seven colors of the color wheel all have frequencies the body processes. When out of balance, the body is prone to disease manifestation; that is, the immune system gets compromised/overworked and unable to ward off disease, infection or DNA-coded health issues.
For me, I have been alerted that I am now able to receive yellow's messaging as, on an unconscious level, I'm craving to be surrounded by yellow with clothes, furniture and other visual choices. Being conscious of color “cravings” can provide wonderful insight into one’s transformation process.
Yellow calls on me to stay steady in the process of releasing the past by forgiving those that knew not what they did.
What color is in your wallet?
