Lenten Strength

Utilizing the energy of the next 40 days that have been cosmically set aside to help one prepare for spring’s potential, today is day 2 of “spring preparation” of the Lenten season. Every day of Lent holds the potential for change, and the full moon of April 1, 2026, comes to finalize the seeds of greatness that are available just for the asking.

Today, let’s focus on ego. To me, ego stands for “easing God out.” In other words, my will before God’s Will. Easily said but not so easily accomplished. Ego is NOT a bad thing. One’s ego is the sum total of planetary influence, upbringing and cultural environs that by their very nature pollute one’s spiritual mind and body, perhaps intentionally, to set one up for spiritual growth and maturity. If garbage gets in, garbage can certainly be taken out.

Are you willing to try a little garbage release? Read on.

What kind of garbage has been instilled, you might ask? I can’t imagine a newborn experiencing greed or anger. Certainly, jealousy is not a birth defect. Hatred is sown through others' indoctrination. Fear is transmitted by others who don’t understand how Soul works. EEK!

Time to restore one’s connection to a more spirit-based mindset. Today, we shall focus on one thought: God is the source of my well-being. Go ahead, speak the words out loud if you can.  I dare you!  Feel the power????

The ego thinks contrary to the statement, “God is the source of my well-being.” Ego uses Earth’s polarizing forces to void out internal spirit guidance giving ego it’s authority over one’s life. Since thought has power and the spoken word even more power, this second day of Lent, speak “God is the source of my well-being” every day until next Thursday.

Watch out for the words that will work against the statement, “God is the source of my well-being.” Words like “I WANT.” Ha! God is your source – no need for want. Or, “I HATE.” Hate is antithetic to Love. God is love. Therefore, speaking the word “hate” wipes out or negates, “God is my source.” One cannot have conscious feelings of hate still believe God is one’s source. Watch every sentence you speak that starts with I. Even “I am sick.” Don’t claim sickness with words like “my cancer doctor,” or “I have Parkinson's.”

Now and for the next thirty-eight days until the Easter change has been fully received, think about your thoughts that eventually turn into powerful spoken words.

You are increasing Earth’s light – one spiritual action at a time.

AFFIRMATION:  God is the source of my well-being.
