Open-Hearted

Open-hearted is defined as having a charitable heart or as one who is kind, honest and loving. Open heart surgery is used to treat varying heart problems: aneurysms, coronary disease and the like by cutting into the body and refashioning valves, arteries and muscles that service the heart. Open heart surgery cannot, however, help one be more charitable, kind, honest or loving. All spiritual attributes.
Spiritual attributes lie in wait and are available to all human beings. Some of us had spiritual attributes passed down through DNA; however, most spiritual attributes become finely honed by a conscious choice to "be the light" – the message of most well-known spiritual teachers, such as Jesus, Gandhi and Buddha, to name a few.
There is only one way to more deeply open one’s heart. Time to perform your own internal open-heart surgery. Start by asking the following three questions. Be sure to answer honestly.
1) What group of people do I best understand the least?
2) What one thought do I have about these people that is not light-filled?
3) Do I see any aspect of myself in this group I am considering?
Congratulations! You have just identified an area of your life that requires open-heart surgery. Unearthing mental and emotional bias is a good start in consciously transforming one's "heart vibes" to a higher plane. Transforming one's heart vibe is exactly why you have been led to read this blog. Now what? Three suggestions…
One, volunteer some time to support the mission of this group. The group you picked could be gender-based, ethnic-based, or even neighborhood-based. Whatever the group, your heart needs to "feel" their oneness/brotherhood with you. Or two, you could provide a form of financial support anonymously to this group. Opening up the wallet has very similar consequences to opening up one's heart. Unable or unwilling to perform ideas one or two? Deeper surgery is needed. Suggestion three is to get deeper into one's psyche and find out why, where or how the darkness settled into your heart in regards to this group. You must seek out a member of this group and befriend him or her. In fact, Creator Source has already placed this person in your presence. It could be the cashier at the gas mart or the president of your homeowners' association.
Ah, yes. Random Acts of Kindness Day is in just a couple of weeks, on Tuesday February 17. You have time to plan. And you thought it was all about you receiving? Ha! Think again and act upon this most marvelous of opportunities to open your heart to new heights.
