What Man Uses For Evil (Originally Published 7/5/2023)


Ever wonder how the dark activity of others, such as revenge or anger towards you, takes root in your life? Have no worries; what man intends as evil (evil used loosely to describe any emotion or action that is not light-filled), God uses for good. Permit me to communicate one of my own experiences to demonstrate my point.


I think we can all agree that life is a series of choices. It would be great if every choice were backed by a clear, loving mind. However, past experiences, upbringing, cultural or religious influences and DNA (both physical and spiritual) have created the being we express as. Recently, the anger and resentment of a key person at the office toward me sent my world into a chaotic spin.


It started a year earlier when an embezzler was discovered and released from employment. To cover the personnel shortage, I shifted people into new positions. One in particular, although qualified for the position, was none too fond of her new place in the company. Resentment towards me festered in her for a year and eventually, that person resigned and went on to greener pastures. But not without drawing two other employees into her “resentment web.” Within two weeks, my team dwindled down by three. In a market where employee shortages were everywhere, I was in a critical position. The shock of the loss took me down for about twenty-four hours. It wasn’t just the loss of personnel, but twelve months earlier, we were a loving cohesive group. What happened?


After the initial stun wore off, I stopped and asked myself the one question every spirit-being-having-a-human-experience would do well to ask themselves when in the midst of ANY chaos. What am I to learn or do as a result of sharing a darkness with someone else? And then I listened because I know as sure as I’m sitting here, pen in hand, that what man means for evil (or to be hurtful), God uses for good. The message was as clear as a bell. It was time for me to release the things that are keeping me separate from my final purpose.


I owned my two companies for over 40 years. I was FINALLY writing books, producing VLOGS and reels that people wanted to read and hear that were sparking my followers to travel the spiritual journey along their material path. I believe God was “knocking on my hood” for at least the last twelve months to release the past so that I could spend more time on my writing/teaching craft. I might admit under severe tortuous conditions that God sent many opportunities for me to shift from Realtor and property manager to a teacher of truth over the last several years. In my defense, however, I was lazy and complacent. So, the Universe kept “knocking on my hood” until I was stripped down to almost zero employees that had helped me provide those stellar services to my customers and clients.


For a minute, I was angry at myself for allowing one person’s resentful feelings to take me down so hard and fast. However, when I applied one of my favorite mantras, “What man means for evil, God uses for good“, to my situation, I could clearly see that God used someone else’s evil (resentment) to force me to make the changes I soooo needed to make.

Within a few weeks, a purchaser for my business was secured (heaven sent to be sure), and we merged our operations, relieving me of ownership responsibilities. Am I suggesting you pray for the evil of the planet to grace your life? Not hardly! What I am suggesting is that when you are the victim of someone else’s anger, greed, jealousy, fear, guilt, hatred or resentment that you look for the big picture. What do you need to release? What messages is Soul sending so that you can do what you were designed to do are you NOT heeding? What change has the Universal Mind been leading you to that you refuse to heed?


Please look at every challenge or chaotic thrust you’re in the midst of at the moment and ask, “What is the big picture here? What change do I need to make to be sure I stay on the spiritual path and not the human needy path? I guarantee you, God, Soul, Universe, Allah – your choice of names – only thinks in terms of good for each and every one of us.


Are you listening? I wasn’t and had to go through chaotic, stressful conditions until I released my will onto His Will.
