There is No Time

Did you ever notice how the stapler runs out of staples at the most inopportune time? Truthfully, there is no perfect time for a stapler to be void of staples. However, rather than be agitated by an empty stapler, why not take that empty stapler agitation as a reminder of the fact that "there is no time."

What about clocks, you say? Their mere existence tells us there is time. HA! Clocks were invented so that meetings could take place without chaos or so that train departures could be calculated. Natural units of time, the day, a lunar month or a year served early beings for farming and circadian living. However, a need to measure shorter intervals of time became necessary for many obvious reasons. Sundials and hourglasses were used to measure the passage of time.

The “ticking” clock, a geared mechanical device that measured regularly intermitted ticks, was first introduced around the early 1300s and has evolved ever since. Okay. Time can be measured, but I would suggest that many of us use time to procrastinate, measure the past and even live in the future.

What if, at this very moment, there was no time? There was no past and there is no future. No pondering about what you should do next (for the future) and no regrets about the past. With no time, there is no past. After all, can you physically touch the past? Eat it? Spend it?

Think of every moment as, well, let’s call it a holy moment. Void of fear, expectations, worries, bills to pay, things to do, calls to make. Instead, grab that holy moment and be happy. Grab another moment and think only thoughts of peace. Stop in moments of chaos and think only of God’s Will for you at this moment.

Holy moments aren’t ticks on a clock. Holy moments are those moments where one stops to be in the space of something greater than themselves. Seriously? There is something greater than myself? Think of any holy moment you decide to take as your spirit’s mystical connection with Soul’s want for you to be in perfect love with every experience (regardless of the human or material perspective) you are in. No clock. No time. Just pure Soul light.

Go ahead! You are off the clock.

AFFIRMATION: I connect with Soul light.
