The Truth About Untruth (Originally Published 9/7/2022)


Untruth has gotten out of hand! Untruth is the reason employers can’t find employees. Parents are up in arms about what their children have been taught by teachers and crime (blue and white collar) is overtaking what once was a civilized society.

           

Earth is a polar planet, meaning the planet is possessed of constant pendulum swings of good and evil, and as such one can expect experiences of untruth. Unfortunately, the truth/untruth spectrum is beyond imbalanced at the moment. Whenever any aspect to the human condition such as truth, justice and self-esteem is met with their polar opposites such as untruth, lawlessness and loss of individual freedoms respectively, the pendulum by its very nature will seek its opposite just as cold seeks warmth, darkness seeks light, and pain seeks unpain.

           

Right now, the planet is stuck in untruth. And I do mean stuck! All the ills of our country do not need to be enumerated here. If you can see or have ears, consider yourself informed. Will the pendulum begin to swing in its opposite direction? Can you or I do anything to help the process?

           

Absolutely. But change is a big obstacle for most human beings to ascribe to. Personally, I always struggle with change whether the change is from loss, styles changing or simply dealing with the end of a season. My car is 14 years old because the thought of changing cars has zero appeal to me. However, a conscious change of mind can, with a little work, at least begin to bring experiences and consequences of truth to your life regardless of what’s going on in the big picture. When enough of us begin to consciously live in truth, the pendulum will begin to “unstick” and begin its swing towards the more centered aspect of truth.

           

I was appalled to hear more than several callers recently phone into a morning drive radio show answering a posed question: what act did you commit to “beat the system”. People told how they smashed their phone to get a new free one just before their insurance expired (insurance fraud – an untruth) or my favorite, how one successfully cheated on their spouse using technology. The most appalling aspect was the lack of remorse for the acts of untruth and the laughter of the hosts of the program as they related their own untruthful antics.

           

I am in the process of hiring employees for two different positions. The resumes of late state one thing but follow-up calls to previous employers or testing indicate the opposite. Untruth has invaded every aspect of life. It’s time for a change. Are you willing?

           

Untruth is everywhere! What are you planning to do about it? Are you going to be part of the problem or instruments of the solution? There is only one way if the latter – instrument of the solution – resonates with you. You must LIVE IN TRUTH, forgive those that currently aren’t and visualize a world where only truth exists. In other words, be the example, regardless of what’s going on around you.

           

Many famous leaders and heroes such as Gandhi, Sojourner Truth, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Ronald Reagan, Frederick Douglass and Thurgood Marshall, ordinary people who possessed extraordinary powers taught us: that we too have extraordinary powers! It only takes one to make a decision to stand in the truth NO MATTER THE CONSEQUENCES and not judge others who don’t. The judgement of others on a path that is not clear to us is a major energy depleter. Who cares? All that matters is what side of the truth/untruth spectrum you’ve decided to reside in. Truth begets a life of truth and beauty. Untruth begets a life of chaos and darkness.

           

Take some time to define the untruths you may be partaking of regularly and commit instead to stand in your truth. Start small. What untruths just for convenience’s sake do you perpetuate with your spouse, children, friends or employer? Why call in and lie about being sick to get a day off instead of just saying “I’m burnt out and need a day off.” You lie – you receive the consequences.

           

Defrauding an insurance company, manipulating the truth to get your way, using someone else’s Amazon Prime account for example are all the ways of untruth. There’s no need to do any of these untruthful things except perhaps being too lazy to stand up for what’s right. A strong faith will remind you that everything you need is provided when you need it. There is no need for untruth except perhaps to inflate one’s own gain or ego.

           

Living in untruth? We all are! Let’s collectively commit to being part of a new silent movement to stand for truth. Join those like Candace Owens and Kimberly Teehee (Google them) who boldly go where only truth lives. Be a pioneer that begins the shift into truthful living by standing tall and making choices that will defray where the globe seems to be heading.

           

One little mosquito in a dark room can make a huge difference and so can you!

           

Do it! Now! Be the change the world needs.
