The Truth About Relationships (Originally Published 6/28/2022)

Life is cosmically and cleverly arranged so that one meets the perfect people to help along one’s own person path of enlightenment – the one and only reason for life on Earth. I’m not talking about ministers, teachers or parents, although each of these “life instructors” play crucial roles to human development. I’m talking about the relationships outside of church, school and home that most often offer super opportunities to evolve, mature and grow oneself. The only constant on Earth is change. In other words, change is inevitable. The only choice is to either shift or transform with the changes that Soul puts in our path or to resist them.

Soul uses relationships for almost every change the human being requires to evolve. My favorite, (ok, not really my favorite because of the pain my metamorphosis will bring) is the relationships with people who share the same erroneous thinking and habits as myself. You know the relationships of which I speak. Those relationships that cause one to look and judge someone else’s behavior in a less than favorable light. Let’s be clear. Every person enters our world to help us recognize our own failings. Hopefully seeing and admitting one’s own failings will help bring about the conscious changes needed to become a “Light Being”, that is a being who brings the vibrations of light rather than darkness to the planet’s electromagnetic field. The marital relationship is just such a type of relationship.

Amazingly, Soul matches people up who have decided to share their life together to produce issue, for companionship and as helpmates. All is rosy for the first 18-24 months of a love relationship by virtue of pheromones, a chemical cleverly secreted outside of the body that can trigger loving and blinding emotional responses shared by people of the same species. I would suggest that Soul uses pheromones as a sort of unconscious glue to get people to marry – a rather unnatural commitment if you think about it – to make a life commitment to trust, honor, cherish, blah, blah another member of the human species for life.

After about two years and the pheromones have done their job, the curtain is lifted and reality has set in…we married someone who commits the same errors and sins that are similar to our own. For those of us less enlightened, this can lead to real feelings of anger, resentment, jealousy – well, you get the picture.

Next time you look at someone with disgust, dislike, distrust… “dis” anything, remember this: the only reason you see a behavior you dislike is because somewhere in your own behavior or actions you are doing the same thing. Yep! Don’t even think about denying it. Want to grow? Become more enlightened and happy? Help is on the way.

When you hear yourself dissing anything about someone else, STOP! Get into your psyche by asking, what am I doing that is the same as the behavior of this person I’m judging? A real desire for growth and enlightenment is necessary for the answer to appear but it will in a book, TV show, Netflix movie, a friend or a news story. Stay attuned to Soul’s messaging to help you see any erroneous thinking or activity that could use a little tweaking. Then, seek to make the change.

One seals their own fate when one fails to judge others in a less than favorable light and not learn the lesson Soul is proposing.
