The Halfway Point

Utilizing the energy of the 40 days that have been cosmically set aside to prepare for Spring’s potentiality, today is day 23 of the Lenten season. Every day of Lent holds the potential for change, with the twin energetic charges of the Spring Equinox on March 21 and the full moon of April 1, 2026, poised to finalize the seeds of greatness that are available for the asking.

            Mid Lent. Has your inner self surfaced? Are you still married to the passions of the human spirit? Lent is perfectly designed for the “spirit-being-having-a-human-experience” to open portals beyond human needs.   Lent is about developing passions of the “spirit kind” along the same order that one has developed passions of the humankind. Both spirit and human passion are good. Good because the human is, in essence, both a spirit being and a human being.

            Lent is about the deeper development of the spirit being. All the powers of God to heal emotionally, mentally and physically are available to man. Lent is the forty-day (forty is a mystical/magical number) period that is available to open one up to receive “new” thoughts that the Spring Equinox (March 21) and the full moon of April 2 energies can put into reality.

            Now is the time to retreat into your own inner locker room and listen for the spiritual pep talk that has already been prepared for you, but is just waiting on your connectivity, your permission to express enough faith to go down a different path.

            Take a moment to close your eyes in a quiet, protected and private spot and ask yourself, “What do I have yet to do to take advantage of this Lenten season?” Then listen. The answer can come from anywhere – a song, a movie, a book, a friend and even an enemy. AND the message will be confirmed by another source, guaranteed.

            What does one do with their newfound data driver, you may ask. Simple. Heed. Make the necessary changes. Watch the magic happen. Discover your greatest strength AND greatest weakness. Give gratitude for both. Watch the magic happen.

            Yes, a little effort goes a long way. All of life for the spirit-being-having-a-human-experience is about being an instrument of light. Each of us was equipped at birth with a spiritual trait/driver to help one express light in an area of life. It could be parenting, writing, art, commerce, politics, development, teaching, or another facet of life. The archetype list is endless and certainly diverse – everyone has a portal of light they carry just waiting to express. Lenten focus can reveal it.

            It is the Lenten halfway point.  How would you grade yourself during this Lenten experience so far? Not to worry.   Never too late to jump in with both feet. No guilt, just forward motion.

            You are increasing Earth’s light – one spiritual action at a time.
