Repurpose Your Mind (Originally Published 6/30/2022)

Recently on an adventure to clean out the attic I found some things I was saving that actually became useful for several other projects I was currently working on. I was about ready to head off to the store to purchase a different rendition of these items for my project when I found the “attic items”.

The attic finding and repurposing experience caused me to think about the ideas I store in my mind and heart that are also just “sitting” there waiting to be expressed or repurposed.

For me, I’m always working on my judgmental mind.

Repurposing a judgmental mind is quite simple once an intention to do so is created. The minute I hear a criticism brewing in my mind, I work to repurpose the judgmental thought to one of gratitude or appreciation.

Challenge: Pick some issue that you’ve been dealing with – we all have them, or we wouldn’t be walking the Earth – and repurpose it. In other words, look for the true purpose that particular experience has been designed by Soul for you. Going through a divorce? List the blessings that relationship provided you. Going through financial hard times? Look for the purpose Soul has posed financial hardship for you along your journey. We treat love and money the same. Are you stingy? Greedy? Afraid of poverty? If you’re being challenged, chances are there is a needed change to make in our thinking and or feelings.

Every challenge, like clutter in the attic, is an opportunity to repurpose or appreciate the reasons for the events at hand in life. Make a conscious attempt to repurpose any problem towards a light-filled lesson and watch resolutions appear.

Now, if I can only figure out how to repurpose ink pens and water bottles.

AFFIRMATION:  I call up a repurpose mindset to see the truth of my experiences.
