Moon Messaging (Originally Published 8/8/2023)


The rhythm of the Moon, that is, moonlight waxing into a full Moon and then towards a waning moon where Moonlight is fully evaporates from the Moon, proves to even those skeptical of planetary influence believers that there is some mystical messaging of the Moon.

 

First, some astronomy updates: In our solar system, there are over 150 moons (satellites) being hosted by other planets. Earth's Moon is tidally locked to Earth, meaning as Earth rotates around the Sun, Earth's Moon is moving with Earth. This phenomenon explains why an entire side of the Moon cannot and has not been viewed from Earth. Moonlight is little more than the reflection of the light from the Sun. During the movement of the tidally locked Moon to the Earth, Moon picks up the rays of the Sun from varying angles and reflects the light of the Sun in the form of a full Moon every 28.5 days. Some sources on this subject suggest the Moon’s cycle ranges from 27.7 to 29.5 days.

 

In the Moon’s 28.5-day cycle, the Moon is said to go through a total of four basic energetic stages. Each stage is marked with a different messaging igniter or "thrust," if you will, an opportunistic time. Plants, trees, and all living things are locked to the psychic messaging and cycling of the Moon. From the new Moon phase to the waxing Moon’s phase to the full Moon phase, every living thing on Earth receives, in its own way, Moon messaging. Tides are a result of the messaging phases of the Moon. A woman's menstrual cycle is tied to the Moon's phases. Turtles lay their eggs in accordance with certain Moon signals at different times of the year. Yada Yada.

 

Here are the phases of the Moon followed by that phase’s “driving” energy.  These four steps are the process for any accomplishment. 


New Moon:  Time to set an intention (Create)

Waxing Moon: Development of action plan toward intention (Build)

Full Moon: Clarify final vision of intention (Build)

Waning Moon: Reflect on what was built, Release what’s not working and give gratitude for the next cycle (new beginnings that are possible) (Release)

 

Metaphysically speaking, the Moon is always messaging potential energy to the human psyche as well.  In fact, most people are not even remotely aware that Moon messaging is driving their thoughts or emotions.  However, Moon is used by Soul to aid the human spirit to create, develop, manufacture, remove the self or ego, give thanks for an experience, release and prepare for rebirth and many more activities. Think of anything you have accomplished, such as running in a marathon, producing an invention, opening a business, graduating from college, purchasing an investment, even as simple as getting out of bed – the list is endless. The Moon is always urging (and sometimes de-urging) Earth’s inhabitants toward any of these accomplishments.  Over and over and over again.  Every 28.5 days.

The other planets of the solar system use the Moon to also infuse THEIR energetic force as well.  So, based on the revolution of the other planets around the Sun and their proximately to the Moon, the 28.5 day cycle force is the same but they come with different twists based on the planet(s) Moon may be channeling in at the time.  The cycle is always the same but with different twists.  For example, when Venus, the planet of romance and Moon work together, times can be more harmonious.  Mars and Moon, well, not so much.

 

If one can learn to understand and become attached to Moon's phase messaging, that is, listen to what the Moon is suggesting by her four “driver” phases and find out the planet(s) that has her ear at the moment, the knowledge can help one hang in there through anything.

 

Next time you are in distress, anxious, uncomfortable or feeling low, why not take a look at that luminous planet in the sky and remind yourself that your life, like the cycles of the Moon, is also in a create-build-release cycle? Listen to the small still voice inside when you are attempting to ignore God's Will in lieu of your will.   Use the heavenly reminder from Moon that anything is possible, this too shall pass and new ideas are on the way.
