Karmic Lockstep in Relationships
Karma is a word extrapolated from ancient Indian ideology that refers to the fact that all actions one takes have consequences. Said another, less wordy way; what goes around comes around. People tend to view karmic "go-around" in shadow terms: hurt someone, and you'll get hurt back in like-kind. Steal, and you will be stolen from, blah, blah. Additionally, new age thinkers tout that one will have to pay back their "karmic debt" in the next lifetime.
Nothing could be farther from the truth! Well, you might carry Karmic debt into another lifetime – who really knows? But Karmic energy, an unexplained "force" that is often experienced between two people in a lifetime, can be a force to reckon with. Recognizing karmic lockstep in relationships and leaning into a relationship's karmic "connection" can not only help heal and en-light-en but can help one move into a higher realm of consciousness, that is, a consciousness more attuned to feeling joy instead of sadness, peace instead of anger, even love instead of fear. Are you in?
Lockstep defines two or more people marching in complete tandem: feet, arms, and heads all moving in perfect matching rhythm; a perfect match? Now, we are on to today's message. Nice segway, don't you think?
Most relationships are karmically” lock stepped” to aid and abet the growth and personal development of BOTH or ALL parties to the relationship. What is meant by personal growth, you may be wondering? Personal growth occurs when one releases fear for love, untrust for trust, fear for faith, unlove for compassion, resentment for acceptance – well, you get the gist. Can any new personal growth quality or skill be developed by a hermit living in the woods? Of course not! Change, growth, call it what you will is only possible when the energies and archetypes of spirit-beings-having-a-human-experience mix together which then produces and opportunity for interesting outcomes. I say opportunity because karma comes at us but does not resolve anything for us. Resolution to grow is a conscious choice.
Loss of a relationship, someone cheating in a relationship, the cognitive decline of one in a relationship, the terminal illness of one in a relationship, congenital disabilities, and frustrations in relationships are ALL Soul-designed so that all parties to a relationship join in karmic lockstep (usually with extremely different independent lessons to learn) towards becoming more light-filled beings.
Sometimes, it's easier to see the karmic lockstep of others than the karmic issues of our own relationships. For example, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were karmically locksteped, as were King Charles and his now-consort Camilla. Enough about the famous people. Here's the message….
What are your relationships trying to teach you? There is no unteaching relationship. Every one of us is here to hone our human way of thinking towards the light.
Resentful because your spouse never holds up their vows? Unfeeling towards a child who has been in your crow since birth? Have a sibling who has abused the family's kindness over and over? Have strong opposing opinions about a spouse, neighbor or friend? Every relationship poses opportunities to rise above one's human tendencies into spirit-driven light-filled tendencies. Are you up for a little conscious change? Ready to look at your relationships with a different eye? The goal of the entire planet, humanity in general, is to become in lockstep movement/rhythm towards spirit-filled qualities like love, compassion, patience, and selflessness, to name a few. This time, this moment, is the perfect opportunity to realign one's mind with gratitude for all one's relationships, past, present and even future. Welcome old and new relationships alike as opportunities to be/express God’s loving light.
