How God Works

Helen passed away at the age of ninety-seven years young. After living in the same house for more than sixty years, it must have been quite a task for her surviving son to clean out and prepare her home for sale.
It took Alan over a year to go through Mom’s things. Many items were sold at three different garage sales or donated to charity. After the house was cleaned out, Alan tackled the garage. To Alan’s dismay, he found over forty boxes of steel-toed boots needing discarding. Alan’s brother Aaron, who passed away some five years earlier, apparently worked at a high-end shoe store. When shoes were returned, they were supposed to be destroyed instead of resold. Aaron didn’t have the heart to destroy perfectly good boots, so he slipped them into a corner of Mom’s garage out of sight.
Over a beer with his neighbor, Alan was bemoaning the burden of disposing of the boots when his neighbor casually mentioned that he knew of a men’s shelter that might give the boots a good home. The two coordinated the boot delivery to the men’s shelter. The shelter manager, Theo, told Alan that the steel-toe boots must be heaven-sent. There were three men living in the shelter who had employment opportunities but could not start work without owning a pair of steel-toed boots, which were very expensive to purchase.
How does a deceased man who, five years earlier, stored steel-toed boots in his mother’s garage get the boots to a men’s shelter some eighty miles away, which provided for three indigent men to gain employment and a new lease on life?
God’s Details!
Nothing is impossible; God’s details are ALWAYS at work. God’s details are especially abundant for those who recognize that there is a power greater than oneself who is in charge of the many blessings we receive. You may not need steel-toed boots at the moment, but rest assured, your needs will always be met because God’s details are prepared in advance for us and are everywhere and available to everyone.
