Creepy Totems

I can't believe that Soul has had to deliver three different insect rendezvous at me for me to get the message. Some of us get our Soul guidance from spiritual social media, spiritual leaders or books. Me, I just need a good slap upside the head… in masse... to face a needed conscious change.

            Spiritual messaging is received in many different forms. One form is totem messaging. The natural world plays a role in absolutely everyone's life, whether one recognizes the totem messages or not. Natural world inhabitants such as birds, insects, mammals and reptiles carry totem messaging. Within the last seven days, I was inundated with three different insects along my annual winter sojourn south! The bedbugs in the Hilton along Route 77 were the first insect encounters we faced. Okay. Things happen. In our many, many years of travel, we never encountered bed bugs, so chalk it up as one of the woes of travel.

            Then we landed in our Florida Keys abode. We have this southern house exterminated regularly, yet three cockroaches, Florida style, if you know what I mean, made their appearance known to me. As if that wasn't enough, three days later, termites attacked me at 3:30 a.m. while I was editing some blogs on the computer. Well, rats!

            Butterflies, bees and spiders are totems I'm familiar with. There is nothing to be ashamed of when encountering these amazing totems. Bed bugs, roaches and termites—well, I'm feeling pretty courageous to admit these creepy infestations to the World Wide Web.


            Never letting an opportunity pass by to become more enlightened, I began deep diving into the messages of these three different insect skirmishes. Most totem messages are related to the habits of the totem messenger. For example, a bee is a symbol for accomplishing the impossible since science is still unable to understand how bees can fly. What do the three insect clashes I've had have in common? Community, perseverance and determination to survive despite all odds. Hmmmmmm. I’ve never encountered even one of these tiny critters before, let alone all three in one day.

            Totem messages have also been called cosmic messaging. And why not? Everything in our Universe is connected. I'm not only attuned but greatly respect totem messaging, so that's how Soul sends my personally designed guidance. But I am not any more attuned to the totem world than anyone else can be. With a little effort, your insect, reptile, bird and mammal run-ins can provide insightful data.

            So, I'm going to stay in touch with the tri-insect messaging – community (be one with teamwork), resilience (I will survive no matter what), and perseverance (I will persist until I succeed). I'm going to pray to continue to be more open to Soul's guidance, and I'm going to call a new exterminator.

 

AFFIRMATION: I am Soul guided to reach my highest good, even by creepy totems.
