The Mystical Number 7

Whether one believes that numerology is a valid life science language, designed to expand the spirit mind or not, one can hardly fluff off the mystical characteristics of the number seven. Do numbers carry organic patterns that are read by the psyche and auric body that subconsciously instruct or direct or are numbers simply arbitrary?

Somehow just knowing that the great pyramid of Egypt for example, was designed as a power plant and is lined up with the constellation Orion (all requiring numerical calculations) leads me to believe that numbers, the same in any language, carry their own personalities and archetypes. Take the number 7 for example. There are:

• 7 main glands of the endocrine system

• 7 chakras

• 7 letters in the Roman numeral system

• 7 wonders of the world

• 7 rays emanate from the Statue of Liberty

• 7 colors in the rainbow

• 7 days in a week

• 7 groupings in the Periodic Table

• 7 notes in a musical scale

• 7 nails in a horseshoe

• 7 Gods of Fortune (Japanese mythology)

...to name a few.

In the Bible the number 7 is mentioned 735 times, 54 times alone in the Book of Revelations. Jesus performed 7 miracles, there are 7 Jewish holy feast days. Patterns of 7 run through scripture more frequently than any other number.

How about the 7 deadly sins, the 7 year itch or that the Muslim mecca walk calls for walking 7 times around the center of the mosque? Modern Jewish weddings require the bride to circle the groom 7 times. Apollo 7 was the first space ship to successfully carry a crew into orbit. The opposite sides of one dice always equal 7 when added together.

The Bible tells a story of Moses who, while on one of his solo journeys met the 7 daughters of a priest. The 7 daughters represented to Moses 7 aspects of God:

• Principle

• Life

• Love

• Truth

• Intelligence

• Spirit

• Soul

When one ponders these 7 aspects of God, do we really need to concern ourselves with whether or not numerology is a valid life science?

Vedic astrology associates the number 7 with the planet Neptune who is said to govern the forever human battle of the spiritual versus the material.

Seven circles form the Seed of Life. The Seed of Life also known as a sacred geo metric form is the genesis pattern and is said to contain all the seeds of truth.

Lastly, chakra 7 is the chakra that creates the union between Soul and one’s higher spirit. Chakra 7 authorizes the spirit mind-body to live and have its being in a place where spiritual knowledge can be received. As one lives in a more enlightened fashion, chakra 7 converts from a receptive channel to a channel of radiation. Jesus, Buddha and Gandhi are all examples of beings that exhibited chakra 7 radiation.

Nitrogen carries the number 7 on the periodic table. Seventy-eight percent of Earth’s air is made up of nitrogen (Mars is 2.6%). Nitrogen, a crucial earth chemical is a compound unique to proteins – a must have for human survival.

The number 7 at first glance appears to be just a number between number 6 and number 8. However, the number 7 has a much deeper grip on life in very meaningful ways.
