Pineal Gland and Calcite Crystals

One of the seven main glands of the endocrine system is the pineal gland, a tiny pinecone-shaped organ located in the center of the brain. The pineal gland produces about 30 micrograms of melatonin (the natural sleep drug) a day. Scientists now know that melatonin protects against neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. The pineal gland is a neuroendocrine chemical transducer which means chemicals that pass through the pineal gland in one form are converted to chemicals of another form. Tell me that’s not Amazing!

Although the pineal gland regulates biological cycles like sleep, the pineal gland is also responsible for regulating sexual maturity. A still-mysterious gland, the pineal gland also regulates all higher sensing intellectual functions, which explains its "third eye" moniker. Although somewhat protected by its mid-brain location, the pineal gland can calcify (harden into calcium) due to too much fluoride from the water we drink.

The pineal gland contains calcite crystals (a calcium, carbon and oxygen conglomerate) that, when pressurized, creates an energy force that transmits data to the brain. Deep breathing and consciously squeezing and contracting muscles throughout the body CAN activate pressure in the pineal calcite crystals, which then send light frequencies containing data that the brain processes.

That's the physical purpose of the pineal gland. As with everything on planet Earth, there is a physical/material aspect and a spiritual/Universe aspect to every human dimension. The light energy that is activated by pressurized Calcite crystals in the pineal gland goes far beyond a physical dimension.

The pineal gland is also said to be the gateway to Infinite Intelligence/Soul messaging, a chakra seven domain/manifestation. The third eye (chakra 6) is better related to the pituitary gland, which governs the "material" glands such as the sex glands, adrenals, thymus, thyroid, and the pancreas. Not yet scientifically established, neuroscientists believe the pineal gland also secretes dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a psychedelic chemical common in most living things. As the "seat of the Soul," the pineal gland works to open one up spiritually (irrespective of religious beliefs) to

· Receive new ideas

· Channel in creative energies and

· Allow one to discern the truth of anything

All transcendent experiences, those that move one from the physical aspect to the spiritual aspect of an experience, can thank the pineal gland for that ride.

Considered the center of spirituality in Eastern cultures, a healthy pineal gland (which can be activated by deep breathing/muscle pressurizing exercises like yoga) is imperative in experiencing the full spirit-being-having-a-human-experience spectrum. Said another way, balancing the material/spiritual spectrum of life requires a healthy, producing pineal gland.

Like any healthy habit, be sure to consider the small cone-shaped organ, one's center of spirituality, on your health "checklist." Consciously avoiding food additives, excessive tap water and stress are crucial steps in maintaining the pineal gland's function in the body. A move towards the release of bodily toxins can also be a boost to the pineal gland's health.
