God's In Charge, You Can't Do Anything About It (Originally Published 6/15/2022)

Or can you? Do you even want to?
I don’t know about you but I watch in awe at how other people’s decisions on a local, state, national and international level is affecting my own life’s well-being. It’s most tempting to judge and criticize the decision of others that cause higher prices, what our children are taught and the spending of our tax dollars, to name a few. We all make decisions based on our own “filters” and those decision and policy makers, no matter their intentions, are no different.
In order to stay calm in any storm, the secret to survival, there are several. Mantras or mental incantations one can plant in their brain that can create a foundation to help one avoid partaking of greed, fear, jealousy, anger, guilt, hatred and revenge, known as the seven deadly sins. To help do more than just cope with those things that happen outside of our control such as inflation, crime, war, government spending – well, you get the picture – try retraining the mind towards a spiritual rather than material solution. Here are four of my favorite mantras you are welcome to adopt to help live more happily in these trying times:
· God’s got this.
· God’s Will not my will be done.
· God’s in charge.
· At this moment, everything is perfect.
A logical person might ask “how can something not seen or proven such as God be in charge, have a Will different from my own, or have a solution to a situation? I invite you to take a look at some amazing and almost impossible to fathom concepts in an effort to “sell” the idea that there is a power greater than yourself – a type of infinite intelligence that guides not only our planet but the vast Universe in which our planet resides. See if you can argue or dispute the following:
1) Every planet orbits the Sun in predictable and unchangeable patterns.
2) A dragonfly has 28,000 facets to its eyes. (For comparison, a common housefly has 4000).
3) Quartz crystals can contain an energetic spark for up to one million years.
I could list a million more amazing facts about Earth that remind one that there’s a power greater than oneself that is in charge of all things. The secret is to have one’s mind and heart come to mutual conclusion over this ideology.
Remember, Earth is polarly designed. That is, all energetic forces create and manifest a duality of energetic interactions, making it the planet of good and evil. In other words, for every evil act that occurs on our planet, some form of good somewhere MUST also occur. Conversely, for every act of seeming good, an act of evil, wicked, immoral or iniquitousness is brewing elsewhere by design. It just is.
When a spirit being having a human experience decides upon a mindset that “God’s got this” or “God’s in charge,” the human part of us is squelched removing all human or material consequences. In other words, making a choice to acknowledge that “at this moment everything is perfect” is really saying that no matter what this looks like at the moment, one knows with certainty that something good will result.
I can write this stuff until I am blue in the face, but until you, my wonderful and loyal readers actually do what I’m suggesting, one will still be faced with challenges of the humankind that bring on knee jerk thoughts and actions of greed, anxiety, guilt, hatred, fear (my own personal Achilles heel), jealousy and so on.
To be clear, the above mantras are not meant to encourage passiveness in the never ending battle for truth. Hardly. If you are a parent with children in school, get involved. If you are in politics, make the changes you were voted in on. If you are on the Texas border and your wellbeing is becoming compromised, get involved where you can. However, get involved with the change without greed, guilt, anger, fear – that many use as their drivers. Select a mantra from above or fashion your own. Coming from a place of “knowing” that “God’s got this” or “at this moment everything is perfect” can help one call upon the gifts of the spirit, available to everyone to receive Soul guidance for the next steps. The gifts of the spirit?

I call them the 12 Spirit Apps in my book Sacred Space, A Guide for Conscious Change.
To help train your mind to always revert to your favorite “God” mantra when faced with challenges, place the written mantra you have created everywhere your eyeballs will see it – car dashboard, as the wallpaper on your phone, bathroom primping mirror, computer.
Gods in charge! Period. Won’t you be one of God’s minions and go to a God mantra when in the midst of seeming challenge? The more of us who can collectively avoid those seven deadly sins, we will eventually wipe out or at least counteract unlove which is all the seven deadly sins are anyway.
I’m in! Are you?
Affirmation – At this moment everything is perfect.
