Calcium

The human body requires a healthy balance of 22 elements from the Periodic Table of Elements to ensure maximum health. The perfect balance of elements, however, looks different for everyone. In other words, there is no exact formula for “the perfect” ratio of one element to another that will work for every human being’s body. Individualized DNA has everything to do with how the body processes and uses elements.

Even though I wrote a book on minerals (Mineral Speak), it’s still daunting that an element as simple as calcium plays such a key role in the function of the human body. Calcium can only be obtained by what passes through one’s teeth, and as if that wasn’t hard enough, unless the body is hosting a spectrum of vitamin D (calcitriol) at the same time as the calcium is lurking in the body, calcium’s benefit will not be correctly absorbed.

Thankfully, sunshine is the best source of vitamin D. For those of you in the north in the winter where the sunshine is scarce, D can also be found in egg yolks, salmon and fortified milk. Perhaps that’s why salmon is mainly a northern swimming fish. Nature provides according to the collective’s needs.

Most every graduate of elementary school learns that calcium is important for strong bones and teeth. But did you know that there is such a thing as calcium excess or poisoning? Excess calcium usually plays havoc with the digestive system causing gas, constipation and/or bloating. Kidney stones, skin issues, depression and insomnia are also attributable to the body hosting too much calcium.

On a physical level, too little calcium can present as an inability of the body to clot blood, osteoporosis, oral diseases, tooth decay and unexplainable muscle twitching. Emotionally, one who is calcium deficient may experience severe bouts of fear, while the mental mind-body may experience indecision and lack of willpower.

Technically, calcium should be 1.5% of body mass. That doesn’t seem like a lot for an element that the heart extrapolates from the blood, and nerve energy uses to carry a calcium variant to other places in the body for use.

There are electromagnetic frequencies that can stop calcium’s activity in the body cold. Sugar definitely upsets the metabolizing factor of calcium. Coffee, alcohol and too much sodium can also alter calcium’s work. When calcium feels compromised, that is, symptoms show up of either too much or too little calcium, quite possibly one’s intake of magnesium, phosphorus, copper, sodium, potassium or selenium should be reviewed as calcium works along with these elements synergistically.

Calcium balance is nothing to mess around with. Elemental balance is critical to good health and a comfortable longevity of life. There are many crystals that contain calcium. African jade, Madagascar banded agate, ammonite, angelite, apatite, aragonite, calcite, charoite, desert rose, dolomite, fluorites, hornblende, jades, bumble bee jasper, lapis lazuli, larimar, pearl, prehnite, selenite, shungite and some tourmalines to name a few.

Visit a crystal apothecary shop and take note of the crystals you are naturally attracted to. Check to see if the crystals are on the above list. Muscle test for crystal/calcium compatibility. A positive muscle test result may indicate the crystal’s calcium vibrational frequency will be helpful to your body’s elemental health.
