Throughout my blogs I occasionally address the Age of Aquarius that our planet Earth has been not so quietly morphing into since 1960. Earth has been moving though the star constellation of Pisces over the last 2000 years and is now moving thru the constellation of Aquarius transcending our planet and everything on it into a new and exciting (but also scary) time period as evidenced by historical uproars in education, medicine, government authority, religion and boundaries on an individual, country, and worldly or collective level.
So what is the collective? The collective was first introduced to me by the long running TV series, Star Trek, which debuted in 1966. The set of Star Trek was the space ship Enterprise, a visionary life style filled with human condition issues. Interestingly, Star Trek is famous for the seeds it planted regarding race ideology through its use of many interesting alien life forms each with “human” issues needing resolution. Star Trek’s original series was also the first to cast a plethora of multiracial actors on American television. No surprise there as the Age of Aquarius was beginning its “cusping” or transition into the new thought of humanitarian equality.
In one Star Trek episode, some of Star Trek’s crew gets intercepted by an alien ship containing survivors of the Borg, an evil life form who brain washes their species with ideas of unworthiness. The viewers are introduced to a being whose name was Seven of Nine. Seven’s brainwashing blatantly shows the domination power of brainwashing. The message of the supremacy of brainwashing I saw on that Star Trek episode some fifty plus years ago still strongly resonates with me today.
On an international level, the word “collective” has extremely negative connotations. In fact both Hitler and Stalin used the concept of the “collective” when brainwashing certain members of their countries into thinking they were superior to other citizens of that country.
Today, collectivism is a viewpoint characterized by an emphasis on group cohesiveness, that’s to say social groups linking or bonding together to create a whole. But if Hitler and Stalin used collectivism to build their short-lived, inhumane empires, how can the world become a peaceful, more humanitarian place, the promise of The Age of Aquarius?
The human existence is filled with a great number of collectives. Thru modern day collectivism, one’s neighborhood is a collective. The team at work is a collective. Each country is a collective. One’s bowling team is a collective. Unions use “collective bargaining” when negotiating better wages and benefits for their members. Nobody in any collective however is really equal. In one’s neighborhood, someone is always richer or smarter than others in the hood. No one’s bowling scores are ever equal. There’s always someone on the team at the office who slacks or is always tardy.
So why is the Age of Aquarius said to incorporate the “collective” consciousness for future thinking? I believe it is because until EVERYONE is moving towards brotherly love, unafraid to hold everyone up with light-filled thoughts, that the dreams and desires of others are also met, free of war and poverty, our planet will remain polarized in every way.
I use the word collective a lot. However, after researching the word, inspired by Star Trek over fifty years ago, I’ve come to learn that one must be aware of what groups one’s energy decides to join.
Mask wearers are one collective. Democrats and Republicans are also individual collectives but also collectives of American politics. Ukraine and Russia are individual country collectives but also for the moment are both members of a “war collective”.
What are you a collective member of? Moms and Dads of America have formed a national collective to change education. Governors – and by virtue of their position, all of their constituents – over twenty states have formed a collective to keep America’s boundaries safe. Collectives are constantly forming, some visible, some not so visible.
The only collective that will bring change and light to our planet is the “spirit collective”. When each and every person comes to realize that they are a spirit being having a human experience and by virtue of their thoughts, expectations, and actions consciously join the ranks of the “spirit collective” we will see a true radical change towards en-lighten-ment on Earth.
Join the “spirit collective” by committing yourself to hone your own being. The learning and practicing of spirit truths, faith, hope, love, patience, kindness, gentleness, wisdom, release, respect and self-control automatically initiate one into the spirit collective. Don’t let the imperfectness of your birth turn you away from membership into the spirit collective. Instead, decide on one of the spirit traits listed above that could use a little improvement in your world and set an intention to do so NOW.
The spirit collective is waiting.
AFFIRMATION: I do my part to be a member of the spirit collective.
