Source Code Awakening

Technically speaking, New Years Day falls smack dab in the energetic force of the winter solstice. The winter solstice occurs every year on December 21. The solstices, there are two solstices, the other is June 21, occur on the same day every year since the beginning of time, portend indisputable cycles of measurable time and events, least of which is the longest day of the year (June 21) to the shortest day of the year, December 21.
Think about hibernation when one thinks of the winter solstice. To me, the energy of the winter solstice is in direct conflict with the setting of new year’s resolutions. Does a bear hibernating think about what changes it might make to have a more fulfilling life? Thinking no. But all biological functions continue famously for the non-polar bear, (polar bears have different instinctual drivers) during hibernation, lasting anywhere from a few weeks to seven months.
Technically, hibernation is an instinctual survival technique where an animal’s metabolism slows down to conserve energy. The spirit-being-having-a-human experience is technically “instincted” to slow down and conserve energy with the visit of the winter solstice. Just like its opposite, the summer solstice kicks up the will/instinct to party, party, party. No wonder new year resolutions are such a regular failure, often producing bouts of self-promoted guilt.
Instead of a new year’s resolution big to-do, why not use the energy God sent as a time to get ready for the “great awakening” that surfaces every year (like party, party, party), with the Spring Equinox March 21. An equinox, Latin for equal night, occurs when Sun is directly over the equator. September 23 each year is the Fall Equinox. Whether you like it or not or even believe in the beautiful rhythmic drivers our Creator Source implanted for human comfort and growth or not, the effects of the solstices are real and drive the inhabitants of our entire planet into solstice and equinox modes. Why fight it?
Instead, ask on New Year’s Day what can I do to prepare for the new awakening that presents itself with the Spring Equinox. Instead of making a list of resolutions, go inward, calm thyself and ask, “what can I do to prepare for the new life that Spring (easter time for many) will propose for me?
A powerful prayer. Now wait and listen.
There isn’t one person who will experience the energetic force of the Winter Solstice, a piece of spirit source code the same. What IS mandated the same, however, is the requirement that one turns within and honestly assesses where self-improvement could be made. Soul is a perfect guidance counselor to the spirit when one sincerely looks to consciously spiritually evolve. What one character trait that you possess could use a deeper spiritual connection? Generosity? Compassion? Love? Truth/ Trust? Faith? Gratitude? Forgiveness? Bears are animals and lack the thinking, mental-mind-body. Why not use the Winter Solstice source code to go into your spirit-mind-body and listen to divine guidance on this day. Do it! Prepare for Easter’s “new life” potentials by incorporating the message of the Winter Solstice to heart: go within and grow and heal.
AFFIRMATION: I prepare myself now for my own personal great awakening.

Like the advice about asking myself what I can do to improve myself instead of making useless resolutions that I very seldom manage to keep.
