Mythological Tenure

I’m sick and tired of having to defend my latest three books on astrology to people. Astrology is the spiritual interpretation or life science aspect of astronomy. In other words, world scientists plot cosmic movements, and life scientists interpret them using a birth chart, a map of the locations of all cosmic activities at the time of one’s birth.
On the surface, astrology sounds hokey…a gimmick to “predict” the future. Nothing could be further from the truth. The sciences of astronomy and astrology were once studied as one science until the evolution of science; perhaps the 11th century began the separation of the two, leaving astrology out to dry as a pseudo-science.
Admittedly, astrology has a strong relationship with mythology. Mythology is considered a collection of sacred stories that is based on the human condition. Sacred stories? Hmmm. Where do sacred stories come from? This inquiring mind wants to know, since the word mythological insinuates something false or made up to me.
Myths have been developed and have evolved over thousands of years. And yes, many a scholar dissed them over the years as well. However, Carl Jung (1875-1961), a Swiss psychiatrist, therapist and psychologist, taught that the myths were merely expressions of the many sides or archetypes of the human condition. These myths collectively reveal all aspects of the human condition.
Over time, mythological studies have come to be understood by the learned as lessons of truth and wisdom on how the cultures of the individual man and the collective play out. Many biological Old Testament tales, like those of Noah’s Ark, Adam and Eve and David and Goliath, were merely upgraded from myths of yore to serve as “learning tools” for those seeking enlightenment.
Planets, constellations and stars are all named after mythological heroes and demons from every culture, with the purpose of delivering grassroots stories of people. Just as I sit and write, feeling that it is often God/Creator Source who drives my pen to paper, I am sure that the mythologies that still exist today also bear God’s intelligence as their seal. Let’s stop dissing them as foolish.
When you research that Isaac Newton (gravity), Louis Pasteur (vaccines) and Einstein (cosmological constant) recognize but give the credit of their inventions divine power, is it really so hard to believe that long-lived myths are not from God as well?
I find the life science of astrology is a perfect explanation not only of the millions of possibilities of human archetypes and conditions, but also of God’s creations down to the simplest detail, such as a specific node or planet placement that can “urge” on one's birth chart.
Open thine eyes that one can experience the magnanimousness of the creation of our solar system and all of its glory as the tool God used/uses to make everything happen.
